I’m Joe Knopp: Christian, Husband, and Father

Friend,     If I was your typical politician, I would start by bragging about my powerful friends and all the years I've been in government. But I'm not a career politician, I'm a Christian filmmaker.    A few years ago,I produced an anti-abortion movie called "UnPlanned." After the last couple of years, that title seems to be more fitting to the DeWine administration.    DeWine wasn't prepared nor did he plan an effective response to Covid. Instead he used it as an opportunity to punch down on ordinary citizens. Our pain was his pride.

Churches were non-essential. Your job was canceled. School was closed. Masks were mandated. More than a year later, DeWine still won't loosen his grip on your freedom.    I vividly remember what it was like in the early days of the pandemic. As a father of 3, I remember when the classroom was our living room.  As a Christian, I remember when DeWine asked churches to close. As a defender of the unborn, I remember how abortion clinics were labeled essential.    The DeWine administration is as "UnPlanned" as it can get. But guess what?
